Prawn Laksa

I think I need to go on another chinese grocery run. I checked my pantry and all I found was one jar of Laksa Paste by AYAM Brand.

Oh well, prawn laksa it is then. So I threw in some prawn meat and veges in a pot of boiling laksa soup. Super yummo, excellent for a cold night. I know it is middle of September now and we are in Spring in Australia but the nite is still very cold. So anything soupy with chillies is a plus!

I kinda like this lens by the way, it is very low light in the evening in my house and I love how I can capture this and it doesn't look too bad... tastes good too!

Stirred not Shaken

Sadly, this is what happens when I am out of ideas for dinner. So I grab a chicken breast, sliced it, browned it in the wok, throw in some veges and stir fry away.

I used lots of garlic and Pad Thai sauce and the end result was a yummy Thai stir fry.. oh boy, now what for dinner tonite? Good Lord, I wished making up dinner menus wasn't so hard! And this is just for me, not for restaurant or anything.. just me!

So, what do you think? Pretty sad huh? And I gotta do it all over again this evening. Sigh! Wished I have a cook/housekeeper...

Tandoori Tavern

So apparently I came up with this idea to have a work dinner at the Tandoori Tavern in town.. so the gang all went down there on a Thursday evening for some tandoor. What a fab idea Jackie....

The wait staff was friendly, efficient and fast. There was hardly any wait time and it was a full sitting. They were busy with lots of big group table bookings.

We didn't have to wait long for our drinks or meals.. most impressed. I arrived early to take some photos of the place and I should taken one of the staff but they look busy. Next time.. so anyway, let the pics tell the story , it was all so very yummy!
